God of the covenant, you seek to dwell in our hearts. We humbly pray: Fill us with your Spirit, O God.

God of the prophets, you sent John the Baptist to herald the arrival of Jesus. In company with him we pray: Creator God, hear our prayer.

God of the covenant, in Jesus, you rescue us from death. In confidence we pray: Help us, O God.

God, our refuge and help in trouble, you are our hope. In trust we pray: God, in your mercy, take things in hand.

Forgiving God, you are tender and caring. In hope we pray: God, in your love, hear us.

May God speak to our hearts and lead us in the ways of perfect love, through Jesus our Shepherd. Amen

Just God, you render judgment according to your law of love. In hope we pray: God, in your loving-kindness, hear our prayer.

Compassionate God of the saints and martyrs, you are near to all who call upon you. In company with St. Maximilian we pray: God, in your justice, hear our prayer.

May the Spirit of God lead us along paths of righteousness and peace, through Jesus our redeemer. Amen

May we prefer nothing to the love of Christ, and may he bring us together to everlasting life. Amen.
