Compassionate God, you pursue us with relentless love. In company with St. Gertrude we ponder the sacred heart of Jesus and pray: Fill our hearts with your peace, O God.

Prayer, Protest, and the Pursuit of Justice
Luke’s Gospel places before us a nameless biblical woman of protest and persistence, she has no standing and presumably no rights in her community.
