God of mercy and justice, on this day of prayer and remembrance for the victims of the terrorist attacks twenty years ago we pray: Heed our cries for help, O God.

May God favor us with every grace and blessing we need to fulfill the service God has given us for the reign of Christ’s peace. Amen.

Saving God, in your love you fashion the earth and make us partners in its flourishing. We humbly pray to you: God our Maker, lead us.

May God renew the spirit of our minds and strengthen us to walk in the holiness of truth, through Jesus our brother. Amen

May God comfort our hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word, through Jesus our brother. Amen.

May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May the word of Christ dwell richly in our hearts and bear fruit in wisdom and understanding of God’s love, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May we rejoice always in the company of St. Monica and all the holy ones who have gone before us in faith. Amen.

May the God of hope fill us with joy and peace through Christ, by the creating power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
