God of peace, you are clothed in righteousness and love. In faith we pray: ℟. Transform our lives in Christ, O God.
Prosper the work of peace, and help us to end the production, stockpiling, and use of nuclear and chemical weapons. ℟.
Inspire us to learn from tragedies and to offer comfort and healing to those who have suffered trauma. ℟.
Welcome into the light of your presence those who have died in the wake of violence. ℟.
Our Father . . .
May the Word of God be a lamp for our steps and a light for our path, through Jesus our Shepherd. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
