God of truth, in Jesus you shepherd us with tender care. Secure in your love we pray: ℟. God, in your justice, hear our prayer.
Keep a watchful eye on those who are dependent upon others for their well-being, and shower your love upon caregivers. ℟.
Protect innocent people who are in danger of deportation. ℟.
Give us courage to face our inner darkness and to move toward the light of Christ. ℟.
Our Father . . .
May God make us firm in faith, steadfast in hope, and constant in love, through Jesus our Shepherd. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
