God of the cosmos, creation waits with eager expectation for the reign of your glory. In hope we pray: ℟. Stay with us, O God.

Break through the darkness that surrounds those who experience war, disaster, or destitution. ℟.

Help us to end all violence and structural racism. ℟.

Unite the faithful departed as one with Jesus in the eternal life of heaven. ℟.

Our Father . . .

May God satisfy our longing for the peace of the Risen Christ and fill our hearts with Easter joy. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
