Merciful God, you awaken our hearts by the light of Christ. In hope we pray: Redeem us, O faithful God.
Transform the desires of those who are tempted to harm themselves or others.
Give justice to those who are adversely affected by the greed or deceit of others.
Show mercy to those who are on death row, and prosper efforts to end capital punishment.
