God of justice, you reign forever in love and fidelity. In faith we pray: 

God, hear us.  

Help us to let go of resentment, and give us the grace of forgiveness. 

God, hear us.  

Prosper efforts to offer hospitality, food, and shelter to those who are homeless. 

God, hear us.  

Give peace to those who mourn the death of a spouse, friend, or loved one. 

God, hear us.  

Our Father . . .  

May God illumine our hearts with the light of Christ and strengthen us for the Works of Mercy, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
