God of majesty, you have crowned all you have made with glory and honor. In awe we pray: Holy God, hear our prayer. 

Deepen our understanding of the Eucharist as a sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise for your work in creation.  

Holy God, hear our prayer. 

Help us recognize and acknowledge others over ourselves. 

Holy God, hear our prayer. 

Inspire efforts to care for the earth and address climate change.  

Holy God, hear our prayer. 

Our Father . . . 

May God open our eyes to the wonders of creation and lead our hearts to greater reverence and praise for all of life, through Jesus, the Bread of Life. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
