God of marvelous deeds, you alone are God. We humbly pray: Help us to proclaim your wonders, O God.

Put a song of praise on our lips and in our hearts.

     Help us to proclaim your wonders, O God.

Imbue elected leaders and all who seek election with a spirit of justice and care for the most vulnerable.

     Help us to proclaim your wonders, O God.

Give gladness and peace to elderly people who live alone or in care facilities.

     Help us to proclaim your wonders, O God.

Our Father . . .

May God bless us with courage to persevere in prayer and to wait patiently in times of trial, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
