Gracious God, you love those who revere you. In company with Saints Joachim and Anne, we pray: Give us joy in your presence, O God.  

Inspire Pope Francis, bishops, and your Church by the light of your saving word.  

     Give us joy in your presence, O God.  

Strengthen and gladden the hearts of parents and grandparents, godparents and guardians.  

     Give us joy in your presence, O God.  

Help us to cultivate a listening heart, an obedient spirit, and a courageous will.  

     Give us joy in your presence, O God.  

Our Father . . .  

May the God of our ancestors lead us along the everlasting way and grant us a share in the inheritance of Jesus. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
