God of our peace, your maternal love protects us always. We humbly pray: Strengthen us in your love, O God.  

Bless mothers, fathers, guardians, and all who give care to children.  

     Strengthen us in your love, O God.  

Help us to nurture one another’s growth in faith.

Animate us to support one another as we grapple with the effects of the coronavirus.  

     Strengthen us in your love, O God.  

Our Father . . .  

May God strengthen us to be faithful to the covenant, through Jesus our peace. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
