Holy God, the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church. In company with St. Ignatius we pray to you: ℟. Help us, O God.
You triumph over death: Strengthen Pope Leo, bishops, and all who suffer persecution for preaching the Gospel in word and deed. ℟.
You scatter our foes: Uphold and protect efforts to
address violence and injustice with nonviolent protest and action. ℟.
You judge the nations: Inspire all citizens to make choices that benefit future generations and those who are vulnerable. ℟.

May God strengthen our faith, inspire our prayer by the light of the Holy Spirit, and encourage us to turn to Jesus in times of trial. Amen.
