Creating God, in Jesus, Emmanuel, you come to be one with us.
With eager expectation we pray: Make us ready to receive you, O God.
Give patience, joy, and peace to pastors, liturgists, music directors, and all who are preparing for Christmas services.
Reconcile those who are estranged from one another because of political differences, misunderstanding, or stored grievances.
Help us practice moments of solitude and resist the lure of consumerism.
Our Father . . .
May God awaken us to the abundance of riches given to us in our faith and fill us with the joy of believing, through Jesus, Emmanuel.
