Saving God, you are our refuge in times of trouble. In faith we pray:

God, defend us.

For innocent children, women, and men in places of war, political uprising, and violence, we pray:

God, defend us.

For those who are unjustly accused, imprisoned or indicted, we pray:

God, defend us.

For victims of racial injustice or gender discrimination, we pray:

God, defend us.

Our Father . . .

May almighty God have mercy on us, protect us from evil, and bless us with lasting peace in Jesus. Amen.
