God of the covenant, you are forever present. On this Memorial Day, we remember those who have died in service to us and our country as we pray:

God, in your loving-kindness, hear our prayer.

Inspire us to find constructive and nonviolent ways to end hatred and violence.

God, in your loving-kindness, hear our prayer.

Open our hearts to care for refugees, immigrants, and migrants.

God, in your loving-kindness, hear our prayer.

Grant healing, provision, and support to veterans and their families.

God, in your loving-kindness, hear our prayer.

Our Father . . .

May the peace of Christ reign in our hearts, now and forever.

Amen.
