Compassionate God, in Jesus you show us how to rouse one another to acts of love. In hope we pray:

Merciful God, hear us.

Unite people of faith in care for those who are without adequate food or housing.

Merciful God, hear us.

Give compassion and joy to those who volunteer in community centers.

Merciful God, hear us.

Help us to affirm the qualities and successes of one another.

Merciful God, hear us.

Our Father . . .

May God cast away our sadness and give us newness of life in Jesus, our Saving Help. Amen.
