God of our ancestors, your wisdom lasts from age to age. In faith we pray: 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Give us discerning minds and hearts to know how to care for those in need. 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Free us from addictions, idols, and anything that draws us away from your peace. 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Inspire greater understanding of our interconnectedness with humanity and the earth. 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Our Father . . .  

May God bless us with perseverance and spiritual endurance in times of trial, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
