Merciful God, you care for us, though we are weak and poor. In trust we pray:

Lead us by your Spirit, O God.

For those on death row and for an end to capital punishment, we pray:

Lead us by your Spirit, O God.

For those who are called to be with others in their suffering and grief, we pray:

Lead us by your Spirit, O God.

For those who bear the responsibility of leadership, we pray:

Lead us by your Spirit, O God.

Our Father . . .

May God bless us, watch over us in love, and fill our hearts with peace. Amen.
