Forgiving God, all time and space is yours. In trust we pray: God, in your great love, answer us. 

Direct your Church’s preferential option for the poor and care for young people. 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Comfort those who suffer because of relationship wounds or divorce. 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Disclose racist practices, and heal fear and hatred that feeds prejudice. 

God, in your great love, answer us.  

Our Father . . .  

May God bless us with peace and fill our hearts with the love of Christ. Amen.

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
