Eternal God, you are the Alpha and the Omega. We celebrate your gift of light on this winter solstice and we pray: God of wonderful deeds, restore our life in you.

Accept our gratitude for the cosmos, stars and fire, light and darkness.

God of wonderful deeds, restore our life in you.

Make us mindful of your faithful love, and strengthen us to be messengers of hope to the world.

God of wonderful deeds, restore our life in you.

Help us to nurture the faith of the young.

God of wonderful deeds, restore our life in you.

Our Father . . .

May the Dawn of Justice break through the sin and darkness of our world, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
