Merciful God, in you we find help, and we praise you with our song. In company with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton we pray: Strengthen us by your saving Word, O God.

Uphold and prosper the Sisters of Charity in their service to those who need care, education, or temporal goods.

Strengthen us by your saving Word, O God.

Bestow your gifts of wisdom, grace, and knowledge to educators and school personnel.

Strengthen us by your saving Word, O God.

Animate all people toward a charity that reflects the joy of the Gospel.

Strengthen us by your saving Word, O God.

Our Father . . .

May God guide us by the light of faith and inspire us to bear Christ to all the world, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
