Gracious God, through Mary you teach us how to love you. In confidence we pray: Fix our hearts on Christ, O God. 

Help us to ponder your Word made manifest in our hearts through Scripture, your Church, creation, and one another.  

     Fix our hearts on Christ, O God.  

Inspire your Church to reach out in compassion to unbelievers and those who doubt your love. 

     Fix our hearts on Christ, O God. 

Incline our senses to the needs of the poor, and inspirit your Church’s works of justice and mercy.  

     Fix our hearts on Christ, O God. 

Our Father . . . 

May God strengthen us inwardly through the power of the Holy Spirit, and may Christ dwell in our hearts through faith. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
