God of loving-kindness, you have called us out of darkness into your wonderful light. In hope we pray:

Glorious God, hear our prayer.

Make us wise in “fear of the Lord.”

Glorious God, hear our prayer.

Revive those who are weary because of war, famine, or political division.

Glorious God, hear our prayer.

Favor the efforts of charitable organizations, and safely direct their gifts to those in need.

Glorious God, hear our prayer.

Our Father . . .

May God fill our hearts with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, by the working of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
