Compassionate God, you made Peter Claver a saint of those enslaved by others. In company with him we pray: Liberating God, hear our prayer.

Help us to end human trafficking and all forms of slavery.

Liberating God, hear our prayer.

Guide the decisions of judges, lawyers, and all entrusted with protecting the dignity and rights of oppressed people.

Liberating God, hear our prayer.

Advance efforts to end the death penalty and to secure safety for all citizens.

Liberating God, hear our prayer.

Our Father . . .

May God bless us with peace and lead us in ways of holiness and love, through Jesus our brother. Amen.
