Nurturing God, you sustain your Church by your sacraments. In company with St. Athanasius we pray: O God, lead us along the everlasting way. 

Nourish your gifts of compassion, wisdom, humility, and prayer in Pope Francis, bishops, pastors, and catechists.  

     O God, lead us along the everlasting way.  

Restore and sustain hope in those who are distressed, grieving, or discouraged. 

     O God, lead us along the everlasting way. 

Inspire the insights, research, and instruction of teachers, theologians, and scientists.  

     O God, lead us along the everlasting way. 

Our Father . . . 

May the peace of Christ reign in our hearts, now and always. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
