God of salvation, you anointed Saints Cyril and Methodius as missionaries to the Slavic people. In company with them we pray: Hear us, O God. 

Advance dialogue and understanding between Catholic and Orthodox Churches.  

     Hear us, O God. 

Fashion your Church to be inclusive in our love. 

     Hear us, O God. 

Help us to show understanding, kindness, and patience to children and adolescents.  

     Hear us, O God. 

Our Father . . . 

May God make us firm in faith and patient in our suffering, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through Jesus our redeemer. Amen.

Sr. Susan Barber, OSB

Sister Susan Barber, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine Community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS. She received a master’s degree in Music from UMKC and a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Susan is currently the community’s liturgist. She is one of the community’s main organists and pianists. Susan graduated from Souljourners in 2018 and offers retreats at Sophia.
